Hmmm… I like the time periscope idea and think that may one day be possible. But that is not really time travel. I believe that time is another property of matter and only matter with the same time stamp can interact together. Any matter (or time traveler) with a different time stamp would be invisible or “out of phase” with everything from a different time. A time traveler could not be seen or change anything in a different time. Many questions come to mind though. What would a time traveler stand on? He would go through the earth and maybe gravity would not affect him. What would he breathe? Oxygen from a different time could not interact with his/her lungs so he’d have to bring his own supply. What about light? Could his eyes see light of a different time stamp? Maybe the periscope is the best way to go. I’d hate to think that there were time travelers all around us that we couldn’t see.
