Default Our Ancestors Had Floppy, Flexible Feet

Interesting article I found today on Yahoo.

Quote:
Our ape-like ancestors might have walked like today's gibbons, whose super bendy feet give them a floppy strut.
The modern human foot first evolved in our ancestors around 1.8 million years ago, said Evie Vereecke of the University of Liverpool in England. But studies suggest that even before our advanced feet emerged, our mostly tree-climbing ancestors were walking upright for short stints.

Do you guys believe that mankind evolved from apes?

Its one of those things. From a science point of view, humans had to come from somewhere. Our closest relatives, from a DNA standpoint, in the animal kingdom are among the apes. Apes share adaption skills that humans have. Some use tools. They learn from each other; including a snow money that decided one day he didn't like dirty yams and started an entire group of snow monkey cleaning off their yams. Apes have social behavior similar to some early human cultures. As shown with sign language, apes can learn our language. And the one thing that seems to be apparent in more advanced/intelligent in the animal kingdom is cruelty. Apes, like humans, have documented cruel behavior. Behavior that is violent and/or mean without a specific need.
