hmm... I just read on Hawking's website that he wrote the book on his theory for a Theory of Everything several years ago. And at that time he believed there was a fifty-fifty chance it could be achieved however Hawking does not endorse the publication of the book because he is now more pessimistic on if such a theory can be achieved. So now this has confused me to now I'm not sure what he is exactly working on right now

Here is a quote from wikipedia of various things he is working on but what his ultimate goal is whether its M-theory or something else I'm not sure. Next time I see a show or here something concrete I'll post it. Or you can just email Stephen Hawking himself. But he says he gets a lot of email and do to his disability it is difficult to email back so just keep in mind if your email gets answered it could very well take a long time.

Quote:
Among Hawking’s many other scientific investigations, included are the study of: quantum cosmology, cosmic inflation, helium production in anisotropic Big Bang universes, large N cosmology, the density matrix of the universe, topology and structure of the universe, baby universes, Yang-Mills instantons and the S matrix; anti de Sitter space, quantum entanglement and entropy; the nature of space and time, including the arrow of time; spacetime foam, string theory, supergravity, Euclidean quantum gravity, the gravitational Hamiltonian; Brans-Dicke and Hoyle-Narlikar theories of gravitation; gravitational radiation, and wormholes.

Hawking has also released another book entitled 'A briefer history of time' heres the link http://www.amazon.com/Briefer-Histor...4693006&sr=8-2
its like his other book 'A brief history of time' except it is simplified and has been updated to account for the latest scientific observations and findings.

Is there another documentary other than 'BBC Stephen Hawking's Universe' featuring Hawking?

Hawking is a mthematician. Consider his book, "God Created the Integers." And then dismiss it. There are no integers in the universe only in the mind. They are usefull, yes; but if I set my coffee cup on the table and an electron moves from the one to the other is it no longer the same coffee cup? The universe doesn't care. Nore does it care about what mathimaticians like Copernicus or Hawking say about its nature.
