Are you wondering where these missing dimensions are mathmatically, or in reality?
I gather from reading this thread that some people might believe that dimensions are real physical things that exist in the universe. I have read much on the whole string theory idea and have not seen any author or reference book define any dimension as a real physical thing. If I am correct in my understanding that some of you think that dimensions are real physical things, I would like to know of the reference that you are working from to get this idea. All definitions of spatial dimensions that I have read do not state that dimensions are real physical things. If you have a reference stating otherwise please let me know. Thank you.
