Default Hiring a Moderator

I am currently looking for someone to take on some moderating powers on the forum. I am fully capable of running the forum by myself, but with my studies, it would be really nice to have someone that is able to help me run the site. The tasks would not be that difficult.

The Tasks:

  1. Posting new threads. One of the most important jobs of the moderator is to really stimulate new conversations. New threads are really important for the forum to allow it to grow.
  2. Helping new members that are not sure what they can and cannot do. Answering any questions.
  3. Deleting any spam and giving infractions to those that have broken the rules that I wrote out.
There are not all that many tasks. Basically, you just help me make sure the forum is run smoothly. Anyone can be considered, but I ask that if you really want it, please send me a private message. Don't ask for the job and intend not to post. As for compensation for your work...At the moment, this is a volunteer job, but when I can get some funds together, I could get a magazine subscription or something small as compensation.

Jacob

I think it's awesome that you can run the forum by yourself! Right now there aren't too many members and not too much spam going around. I'm a moderator on another forum and I haven't done much yet, haha. I've been so extremely busy and last couple of days!

If Science Chats explodes one day with many new members, I'll definitely think about becoming a moderator. Good job so far!
