Default Good books about astronomy or cosmology?

Can anyone give me any recommendations on good popular science books about astronomy or cosmology. I keep looking but I can't find very many, all I find is guides on the night sky and books with a lot of pictures and no reading.

Speaking of 'The Elegant Universe', the same author wrote 'The Fabric of the Cosmos'. Anyone read this book?
