Physics Nobel Prize winners?
I'd risk saying that the majority of Physics Nobel Prize winners research in US, primarily because there are so many spectacular physics labs in the country. Many of winners are Americans, but where are the rest of the physicists from? I know that they are from Europe, but where?
Also are there many physicists from other parts of the world like South America, China and India? Any notable physicists?

Re: Physics Nobel Prize winners?
so anyways I looked up a random part on that list. And I am confused how the following happened.
1995 Physics - Presented to Dominique M.R. Georget, R. Parker, and Andrew C. Smith of Norwich, England, for their rigorous analysis of soggy breakfast cereal. It was published in the report entitled "A Study of the Effects of Water Content on the Compaction Behaviour of Breakfast Cereal Flakes."
Soggy cereal?!?!?!? hows that a break through? I see soggy cereal everyday.

They won Ig Nobel Prize.
Quote:
The Ig Nobel Prizes are a parody of the Nobel Prizes and are given each year in early October — around the time the recipients of the genuine Nobel Prizes are announced — for ten achievements that "first make people laugh, and then make them think." Organized by the scientific humor magazine Annals of Improbable Research (AIR), they are presented by a group that includes genuine Nobel Laureates at a ceremony at Harvard University's Sanders Theater.

Re: Physics Nobel Prize winners?
BTW, wikipedia has the following list:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobel_laureates_by_country
Unfortunately, they don't count Nobel laureates in each category.
