Hey Humtrvl3,
You said:
"Who knows, maybe aliens created us from another planet and we're some kind of pet project of theirs."

Maybe. But we do have more information to run with than this. History is full of religious people, making religious claims. Personally, I only advocate the Christian message. Certain people through out history recorded what they saw and heard for us in the Bible. Many more believed them and have real experiences with God. But don't just take my word for it. If God is real, you can find Him. In fact, He wants you to find Him. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you, and then pay attention. Look for truth, not just experience. They go hand in hand. God won't force you, He wants you to freely choose to know Him. The next step is yours.

God Bless!

A lot of these sort of arguments forget that the concept of God is not bound by time and space so therefore cannot be subjected to it.

The Bible is a primitive understanding and translation of events. Take the Matrix trilogy back 2000 years and show it to someone - what would they write about this vision?

First, I am not a proponent of Creationism as most people see it. Science makes more sense to me then dinosaur were not real and dinosaur bones are simply other animal bone fragments. However, I will use this view on divine creation I heard when I was still interested in Touched by an Angel.

If you were walking in the woods and found a watch, would you believe that someone made that watch, or would you believe that all those parts fell together randomly, and perfectly, to create that watch?

I believe one cannot disprove intelligent design. However, the Bible is written in the culture of the time it was written for. Noah's Ark is not plausible, as mentioned before. Humans being the descendants of two people is also not plausible. It does not mean the faith is wrong. The stories in the Bible could very well be religious lessons on life. I have no idea how some aspects of the Bible could be scientifically studied. The Bible, like any other religious text, is based on faith. It is a matter of what the individual needs to believe that is important.
